Case study: Loewe's Q2 success
The viral 'minecraft-core' pieces aren't the only reasons to their Q2 success.
Lyst’s recent ranking shows Loewe at the top of their “Hottest brand of Q2 2023.” This has my mind running at 200 miles per hour. The LYST Index for the “hottest fashion brands” each quarter’s results are tabulated from what’s been searched, viewed and bought the most on their e-commerce platform, taking social media behaviour around various brands into consideration as well. Last quarter Loewe was ranked No. 5, so what caused the rocketing of ranks? Maybe I should rephrase myself. It isn’t an issue of disbelief, it is the curiosity to discover what Loewe did as a fashion brand that contributed to this success.
How did Loewe do it?
Production-wise, Loewe’s return to roots in recent shows had all of us squealing with excitement. And unsurprisingly, the Spanish fashion house keeps giving us the most well-made clothes you can expect. Sparkly high-waisted trousers, blurry printed dresses, a sweater donned with feathers, and so many more. Unconventionally chic that attracts people’s discussion of their pieces. But nice clothes are not enough, we are dealing with ‘The Hottest Brand of Q2’ here. So, what else?
