Dai Rees' Pieces: The headpieces that stole the McQueen's spotlight

Confirmed by the legend himself. Kind of surreal to have this interaction with what was previously just a ‘character’ in a story to me.
Before we jump into the story about the headpiece, here is some quick background information that you need to know:
Dai Rees went to Central Saint Martins at the same time as McQueen where Dai studied ceramics, and they knew each other briefly.
Okay, here’s what happened.
One day Dai Rees was walking through the park and came across some interesting-looking feathers. Being the artist that he is, he picked them up with the intention of turning these feathers into a lovely headdress back home.
A friend of Dai’s saw the piece and advised him to show it to Katy England, a friend of McQueen’s who was also working at Dazed & Confused at the time. So eventually Dai brought his creation to Katy and she was BLOWN AWAY, calling McQueen immediately to tell him that she’s found the perfect addition to his upcoming show.
